On most Sundays, our children participate in the first part
of the Worship Service and are offered a children’s story
from the minister or other speaker.
They then go to religious education classes. Classes
generally run from 11:00 to noon. The Religious Education
(RE) classes are age and developmental specific. They
collectively provide comprehensive curricula (from pre-
school through high school).
Our teachers are mostly parents of students in the RE
Program, but NHF has been fortunate to have several
professional teachers and other members of the
congregation who routinely teach in and enrich the RE
program.
Parents are always encouraged to participate as a
teacher, teacher's helper, provider of snacks, chauffeur
(for field trips), and for other special activities, or to just
sit in on a class. |
