Adult Enrichment
As Unitarian Universalists, we're firm believers in the importance of ongoing spiritual growth and education, as well as a good, lively discussion.
We invite you to take part in any of our Adult Enrichment programs, activities and classes that are offered throughout the year. Whether you enjoy learning through classes and seminars, quiet and meditative spiritual exploration, or lively discussions on current issues, you'll find something to suit your taste at Northern Hills.
Forum
A weekly opportunity for adults to come together to discuss a wide variety of issues and current events. Meets every Sunday morning (September to May) from 9:30am to 10:30am in the Quimby Room at the Fellowship.
Covenant Groups
Small Groups, a.k.a. Covenant Groups, help members develop as Unitarian Universalists, both individually and as members of the church community. Currently efforts are underway to begin such groups at Northern Hills Fellowship. Currently our congregation is small enough that all members can feel a sense of community as part of one big group. But as we continue to grow in size, we know we will need to do something to maintain that sense of community. Small Groups are a great way to do that and so efforts are underway to start these groups in the fall of 2008.
Wild Women
A spirituality group for women which meets monthly for ritual and discussion. The topics and related activities are taken from women’s spirituality writings, such as the book Sacred Circles by Robin Dean Carnes and Sally Craig. The group is led by Sue Woodruff and Sue Wolinsky. Meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 7:00pm in the Quimby Room at the Fellowship.
The New UU
An ongoing class/small group discussion for new and prospective new members of NHF. Led by Rev. Bruce Russell-Jayne.
