"Tools"
for the Spiritual Journey:
Six Spiritual Retreats for the Year 2001
 Linda
Neumaier - Facilitator
Linda is
a Spiritual Journey Facilitator. Having undergone a discipline of study,
seminars, and personal direction received, given, and supervised, she
has received a Certificate of Completion for the 1989-90 Graduate Program
in Spiritual Guidance and the 1995-96 Graduate Group Leaders Program.
These programs of study were taught by the internationally recognized
Shalem Institute for Spiritual Formation in Bethesda, Maryland. The Washington
Theological Union Seminary granted the graduate credits.
She holds
an M.A. degree from Ball State University, with over 30 additional post
graduate hours in Education and Meditation. Continuing education has also
included numerous workshops, seminars, and retreats during her over thirty
years as an educator in public schools, as well as churches. She participates
in a supervised Peer Group with another Spiritual Guide, and has herself
received Spiritual Guidance for over 20 years. In addition, as a part
of her spiritual renewal, she schedules her own monthly, personal retreat
times.
She is also
trained as a Facilitator of Bio-Spiritual Focusing, is a Reiki Master
Practitioner, and is a Certified Infant Massage Instructor. In 1998, she
studied Woman-Defined Theologies and continues to be on the Planning Committee
and Faculty for this graduate level course offered at Grailville Education
and Conference Center in Loveland, Ohio. She is also part of a Feminist
Spirituality group named Wild Women at Northern Hills Fellowship Unitarian
Universalist. She is willing to share how these disciplines and studies,
for some, can add depth to a person's spiritual journey.
Linda has
been a Spiritual Guide for 16 years. For now, she prefers to be recognized
as a Spiritual Journey Facilitator, since the name seems less directive
and more inclusive of her education, experience, and professional practice.
She currently leads and co-leads retreats in the Greater Cincinnati Area.
Linda will facilitate all 6 retreats. Jackie Millay, Theresa Horan-Sapunar
and Jon Sapunar will share their knowledge about some of these spiritual
disciplines. All professional backgrounds will be available.
