Wild Women
"Within
every woman there is a wild and natural creature, a powerful force,
filled with good instincts, passionate creativity, and ageless knowing.
Her name is Wild Woman."
C.P.
Estes, Women Who Run With The Wolves
We are
a community of women of all ages and situations, exploring our own stories
as our sacred texts, creating our own rituals to reconnect us to our roots
as women together, to our feminine ancestors, to the Earth, and to each
other.
 We
are co-learners, finding our resources in books, in music, in videos,
and in our own feminine wisdom, energy, and everyday experience. Structure
is provided through opening rituals, through group-selected books or curricula,
and sometimes through facilitation by volunteers among group members.
We recover
some of the lost spiritual history of women through the ages, sometimes
going back to the ancient times "when God was a woman."
We are
not bound by any particular creed or curriculum, but give each other the
support and the space to find our own spirituality, while respecting the
broad guidelines of the Seven Principles of Unitarian Universalism.
