Who
We Are
We are nearly 100 members strong.
We are young families.
We are older members who founded the church over 45 years ago.
We are single.
We are married.
We are non-traditional families.
We come from a variety of religious backgrounds—Christian, Jewish,
Buddhist, Hindu, and many others.
Ten percent of us are lifelong Unitarian Universalists.
Most of us are evolving in our beliefs; we defy labels.
We are humanists.
We are mystics.
We are theists.
We are agnostics.
We are earth-centered UUs.
We live and worship in harmony and respect.
We are here for you!
Northern
Hills Fellowship May Be Right for You!
Relationship is the foundation of the NHF family. We are a small enough
community to call each other by name, even the minister! And large enough
to absorb a diversity of beliefs, thoughts and ideas.
Northern Hills Fellowship is proud to be recognized as a “Welcoming
Congregation” by the Unitarian Universalist Association. This designation
means that we are a faith community that welcomes and celebrates the presence
and participation of bisexual, gay, lesbian and transgender people.
Why
Should I Join?
PERSONAL GROWTH:
• I yearn to enrich my life with social, cultural and thought-provoking
Sunday experiences.
• I seek encouragement to follow my spiritual path.
• I’m ready for a solid religious education program for my
children and for me.
• I’m ready to be part of a community.
• And I want to participate in social action activities where I
can live what I believe.
LOCAL & GLOBAL COMMUNITY:
• I’m ready to take advantage of the benefits of membership
in the national Unitarian Universalist Association (opportunities for
social action, the UU World magazine, and www.uua.org),
regionally in our Heartland District and locally in the UU Council of
Greater Cincinnati and the Metropolitan Area Religious Coalition of Cincinnati
(MARCC).
• I see the potential to become a voice for the UU principles, locally
and globally.
• I want to have a voice in the decisions of my church.
