How to Use the Player
When you
click on a link that contains an audio file, the Player will automatically
open and begin playing the audio file.
Here are
five features of the Player that you will likely use:
| 1.
|
Play,
pause, stop, rewind, and fast forward. |
| |
The
Player allows you to control audio playback just like a tape player.
At the top left corner of the Player window, there are a series
of buttons that allow you to Play, Pause, and Stop the recording.
You
can also quickly move to a new time in the recording by moving the
Slider left or right. In order to move the Slider, click and hold
your mouse button down on the Slider and then move your mouse left
or right and release the mouse button.

Note:
If you watch the current time indicator in the bottom right corner
of the Player window while you move the slider, you can jump to
the exact minute and second you desire.

|
| 2.
|
Adjust
the volume. |
| |
The
Player allows you to adjust the volume of the playback using the
Volume Control located in the bottom right corner of the Player
window. Click and hold your mouse button down on the Volume Control
and slide your mouse left or right to change the volume. Sliding
the Volume Control to left will decrease the volume and sliding
it to the right will increase the volume.

|
| 3.
|
View
the current time and total time. |
| |
The
Player always displays the current time and total time for the recording
in the bottom right corner of the Player window. You can use this
display to keep track of where you are in the recording and how
much longer the recording will last.

|
| 4.
|
the viewing size (video only). |
| |
The
Player allows you to enlarge the size of the video screen using
the Zoom Level Control located in the bottom left corner of the
Player window. Click on the Zoom Level Control and a picklist will
appear with the following options: Original Size, Double Size, and
Full Screen.

|
| 5.
|
Minimize
the Player. |
| |
Minimizing
the Player allows you to "hide" the Player window while
still listening to the recording. This may be helpful, for example,
if you would like to view the text of a sermon and listen to the
audio at the same time.
In
order to minimize the Player window, click on the Minimize button
located at the top right corner of the Player window.
Note:
Once you have minimized the Player window, you can open it again
at any time by clicking on the RealPlayer button located at the
very bottom of your computer screen (in the same row as your Start
button).

|
| 6.
|
Exit
the Player. |
| |
In
order to exit the Player, click the Close button located in the
top right corner of the Player window.
This will close the Player window and return you to the Northern
Hills Fellowship website.
